Saint Luke, Beavercreek, is looking for a full-time coordinator to shepherd both youth and young adult faith formation and to foster its integration into parish life under the direction of the Pastor and Director of Evangelization.  Position responsibilities include administration, leadership and in-house training-support to peer (youth) and adult volunteers in a variety of programming that invites a maturing personal faith in daily life and Church experiences. The position involves team work with three other parish faith coordinators ( early childhood and PSR, adult and the parochial school ) in parish-wide and family-focused formation.   Applicants need a personal faith, commitment to formation and team ministry, an appropriate background (degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education),  or 5+ years of experience in youth ministry), social media and computer skills and an ability to work with volunteers and staff. Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary and School of Theology seeks a full-time, experienced Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will assist the President / Rector of the institution with planning, organizing, staffing and development and control of the fiscal affairs of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology.

Qualifications:

The position requires graduation from an accredited college or university, with a degree in accounting, business administration or a related field. CPA is desirable. Minimum of five years of professional experience in finance and auditing with knowledge of non-profit accounting.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Prepares and monitors the Mount St. Mary’s & School of Theology annual operating budget.
  • Prepares quarterly reports for the Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology Board of Trustees Finance Committee and the Board of Trustees.
  • Reconciles monthly general ledger contribution accounts and capital campaign pledges and balances with Development Office personnel and database reports.
  • Works with President to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of revenue, expenditures and year end balances.
  • Supervises bookkeeper and serves as internal auditor.
  • Prepares audit work papers and accompanying account analysis for external auditors. Prepares the annual financial statements in collaboration with the external auditors.
  • Acts as liaison with external auditors to coordinate the annual audit work.
  • Reviews the monthly financial statements for internal departments / divisions.
  • Review Payroll reports for accuracy and reporting.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations of all Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology bank accounts and general ledger journal entries.
  • Prepares financial reports for various educational and/or governmental agencies including Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
  • Review and monitor the Endowment investment accounts and serves as liaison between Trustee, Investment Advisor and Investment Managers.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Familiarity with accounting software (Passport, Quickbooks,….)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ability to effectively manage work flow and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written

The Position:  The Pastoral Associate for Adult Faith Formation creates and executes a multi-dimensional approach to forming the faith of adults in the parish from initial conversion to Christ through growth as missionary disciples.  The Pastoral Associate will offer special emphasis toward young families and adults while providing opportunities for all adult age groups.  The successful candidate is creative, a self-starter and well-grounded in Church teaching and evangelization skills.  This position works in a team environment with the Pastor, staff, and volunteers and requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or Education with a major focus in Theology.  Experience in parish ministry with adults is preferred.

Applicant should be a practicing Catholic in good standing.

In meeting the needs of the pastor and parish community, the candidate will have a flexible work schedule.  Weekday office hours, evening and weekend hours are required. This is a full-time position with benefits. Part-time and work-at-home options may be considered for the right candidate.

Designs and manages print materials that develop and enhance relationships with the friends, relatives, and alumnae of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur by telling the stories of the mission, spirituality, and ministries of the Sisters, their associates, and co-workers.  Maintains the integrity of the brand of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.  Collaborates with the Development Director and Digital Media Coordinator to create, strategize, and execute an annual communication plan for the Ohio Province, including but not limited to the Development Department. Works closely with Associate Development Director to expand the Clean Water for Life Project. Collaborates with other Departments (Mission Integration, Vocations, Live The Good, and Justice Peace and Care for Creation) for their communication needs.

The Director of Pastoral Ministries will be responsible for managing our parish ministries to enhance parishioner engagement.  This individual will coordinate, support, empower and direct when necessary, the work of the ministerial activities of the parish. This includes, but is not limited to our Sacramental Ministries (Baptism, Marriage and Bereavement), Liturgical Ministries RCIA and Social Outreach.   Must be a Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree in pastoral ministry/theology is preferred.  Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish. Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable networking and building relationships with volunteers. Strong technology skills, experience with various social media and software platforms is key.
