The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is traveling through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on its way to Indianapolis this July. So, whether or not you plan to attend the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis from July 17-21, everyone can get involved in the many activities right here in our Archdiocese as pilgrims accompany Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament through seven official stops across our Archdiocese in the first week of July. The first stop is at St. Brigid in Xenia on July 1, making daily stops until passing through St. Teresa of Avila in Price Hill on July 8, then moving on into Indiana. For more information on all the stops and what family-friendly events are happening at each one, check out the website at catholicaoc.org/jesus-is-here.

At least two of these stops will include several accommodations for members of our communities who are deaf or have disabilities. Our stop at St. Francis de Sales on July 2, will include ASL interpretation, braille and large print programs and a sensory friendly space. On July 6th, at our Mass at the Cathedral Basilica with Archbishop Schnurr, we will also have ASL interpretation, braille and large print programs.  Following Mass, the faithful will process with the Blessed Sacrament through downtown Cincinnati to Fountain Square. The Eucharistic Festival will continue there 11:30AM to 2PM with a holy hour and reflection that will have ASL interpretation. Priests will be available for confession for all, including Fr. Charles who can celebrate confession with the deaf community. During the entire festival we will also have a sensory friendly tent with headphones and fidget toys for anyone with sensory needs who needs to take a break.

We hope everyone can attend one of the stops while the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage travels through our Archdiocese that first week of July. Stay updated by checking out the website at catholicaoc.org/jesus-is-here.
