POSITION TITLE: Marketing/Communications Specialist
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Director of Enrollment and Communications
POSITION SUMMARY:
As Marketing/Communications Specialist, you will be part of a team responsible for executing
the school’s marketing and communication strategies and practices, with the objective of
enhancing the awareness and stature of McNicholas High School among its many audiences,
including current and prospective students, alumni, donors, and current parents.
In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment on projects for a variety of departments,
including Advancement, Admissions, and Athletics, and the school. McNicholas is looking for a
candidate who is a self-starter, team player, and has a passion for creativity and excellence in
content, design, and collaboration within the Communications Team.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Partner effectively with Communications Team to execute strategic marketing and
communication plans that align with the Catholic mission and objectives of McNicholas High
School.
• Help develop institutional messaging and ensure clarity for internal and external marketing
and communication.
• Assist the Communications Team in creating and sending communication to parents and at
the request of administration.
• Use graphic design skills to assist the Communications Team with a variety of internally
produced marketing materials, website graphics, social media content, and more.
• Participate in writing, creating, and managing news stories and content for school
communication, social media, digital media, website, and publicity.
• Assist with editing the website and monitoring content for updating.
• Participate in shooting, editing, and archiving the video and photographic assets for
McNicholas High School.
• Assist in purchasing and coordinating advertising and electronic media with vendors.
• Ensure brand, logo, and graphic standards consistency and adherence on sportswear,
promotional items, print and electronic materials, including social media.
• Attend some evening/weekend events to capture photography, video, and content.
SKILLS:
• Excellent written communications skills; ability to present written communication in an
accurate, clear, succinct, and understandable manner using correct grammar and logical
flow of ideas; adapt style and tone to fit the situation and engage the audience.
• Strong understanding of design principles to achieve visual consistency. Experience
designing print, collateral, and marketing materials.
• Ability to recognize and assess situations and events with news value/communication needs
and propose and implement the best strategies for usage.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and how to deliver and optimize content across
various models.
• Experience with website design and maintenance.
• Proficiency in the use of software technology, including Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign,
Lightroom, Photoshop), Microsoft software, and/or other programs to enhance
design/photography in marketing materials and on the website.
• Experience with video editing a plus.
• Understanding of design, printing, and mailing practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with proven ability to prioritize, multi
task, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player willing to collaborate on new ideas and communication projects to optimize
results for the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, graphic design, public
relations, or related discipline.
• Experience working in a communications, marketing, and/or public relations role.
• Experience in written communication, design, social and digital media, content management
systems, or photography preferred.
• A portfolio of previous design work that showcases experience and creative expression.
• Writing samples from previous communications or marketing projects.

Maintenance and Grounds Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance and Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining Archbishop Moeller High School’s buildings, grounds, and athletic facilities, including the main campus of Moeller High School and the Moeller Athletic Complex. This role ensures a safe, clean, and fully functional campus environment that supports students, staff, and school operations. The technician performs a variety of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks and contributes to a positive and responsive facilities team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Building Maintenance

  • Perform painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry work as needed.
  • Complete minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing or repairing fixtures.
  • Install and repair shelves, fixtures, and wall-mounted items; move and repair furniture.
  • Assist with building renovations and remodeling projects.
  • Work on minor electrical repairs, including replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, ballasts, and related components.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete other assigned maintenance tasks as needed.

Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain exterior areas in a safe, clean, and visually appealing condition.
  • Perform exterior building maintenance and cleaning, including power washing.
  • Conduct weed control and maintain landscaped areas.
  • Maintain synthetic turf fields and support athletic facility upkeep.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal.
  • Prepare and maintain athletic facilities for practices, games, and events.

Required

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • 3–5 years of building and/or grounds maintenance experience.
