The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology, the center for ecclesial formation sponsored by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of part-time Spanish instructor, commencing January 6, 2025 (spring semester).

 

The part-time Spanish instructor will teach two in-person semester courses (basic and intermediate Spanish, a total of four credit hours) to equip seminarians with Spanish language skills and prepare them for Spanish-language ministry immersion experiences and preaching/celebration of the sacraments in Spanish.

 

The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Spanish and English and be able to instruct students in speaking, reading, and writing the Spanish language. A bachelor’s degree is preferred along with classroom teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level. Catholic candidates are preferred.

 

Based on the interests of the successful candidate, this role has the potential to expand to include student learning assistance and academic support.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task several computer systems to support students, volunteers, instructors and donors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in Microsoft Products (Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc).
  • Resilient and adaptable to change while maintaining a positive outlook.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily customer service: engage with clients daily to address their needs and inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, navigate our services and assist customers with online or phone registrations and orders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries: respond promptly to customer inquiries through various channels, including phone, main and secondary emails, and chatbot.
  • Resolve customer complaints: handle customer complaints and provide solutions.
  • Shipping of products: ship products ordered or for classes in a timely manner and report when inventory runs low to ensure product availability.
  • Warehouse management: responsible for the organization, product level and stocking the warehouse.  This may require unloading supplies and/or carrying boxes up to 40 pounds.
  • Confidentiality: maintain client confidentiality with customers, donors and volunteers.
  • Reporting KPIs: prepare various monthly KPIs on customer service and shipping.

Grades 9-12:  Saint Ursula Academy is seeking a dynamic and energetic Substitute RELIGION teacher to cover for a maternity leave during the end of the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year. The dates needed are March 17, 2025 through May 22, 2025.  Applicants must have the certification to teach Religion in a Catholic school and should be prepared to plan and instruct courses that align with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s curriculum. Scope of Position:

The Events & Partnerships Manager spearheads the planning and execution of the organization’s primary fundraising and stewardship events. This role involves nurturing relationships with partners to coordinate drives and solicit in-kind donations on behalf of the organization. Additionally, the manager provides essential support to the External Relations Team in their initiatives to secure resources and foster community engagement in support of SVDP’s mission.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and execute all aspects of the organization’s major fundraising events in collaboration with the External Relations team, ensuring the attainment of revenue targets for each event.

Spearhead the sponsorship process for events, cultivating relationships with existing sponsors and identifying opportunities to engage new sponsors.

Oversee partner engagement and recognition for significant organizational drives such as Coats, Fan/AC, Strike Out Hunger, and Day to Dream. Coordinate closely with the Outreach Services team to streamline logistics and operations for these initiatives.

Manage smaller-scale organizational drives with support from the External Relations team, including responding to inquiries, liaising with drive partners, ensuring alignment with current drive needs, updating drive materials, coordinating logistics with the Outreach Services Team, and facilitating stewardship and recognition efforts.

Strategically nurture relationships with key event sponsors, drive partners, and individual donors who are regular participants in organizational events.

Collaborate with the External Relations Coordinator and potentially oversee event-specific interns, providing guidance and support as needed.

Offer assistance and fulfill additional responsibilities as required by the External Relations Department to ensure the smooth operation of fundraising and community engagement efforts.
