The Call Center Specialist is a consistent point of contact for those requesting services from the organization. Retrieving and returning daily calls along with providing service and resource information to neighbors calling for information are primary functions. This team member must consistently model the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul.

Job Responsibilities:

Timely, accurately, and compassionately respond to assistance and information calls while completing appropriate documentation of requests from neighbors and informing neighbors of availability of services according to current operating mode
Retrieve calls from our service line and refer those neighbors located within an active Conference footprint to their respective SVDP Conference
Participate as a member of the SVDP Social Services team as well as positively interact with Council members and staff.
Serve neighbors in need with face-to-face services, including rent, utility, and other forms of assistance as needed.
Understand how to share access information for assistance from other community resources as appropriate to address needs presented by neighbors.
Lead/participate in special projects as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required and further academic achievement is preferred; at least one year of call center experience and/or social services experience strongly preferred; computer literacy is required; strong attention to detail and an ability to communicate well orally and in writing are required; experience with Google docs, Excel and Microsoft Office a must; bilingual (Spanish speaking) abilities are a plus; ability to work with and support a diverse team is required.

Catholic Charities Southwest Ohio is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Case Manager—Refugee Support Services with our Refugee Resettlement Program.

As the official refugee resettlement agency for the Greater Cincinnati area, Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio has resettled over 12,000 refugees since 1980. As the Case Manager—Refugee Support Services, you will provide case management services to refugees and families. You will assess individual and family needs and provides case management to eliminate barriers that are identified through the creation of a family self-sufficiency plan and individual employment plan. This position works collaboratively with community and internal partners to establish a continuum of care for refugees and their families served through the program. This position assists with serving secondary migrants, asylees and refugees outside of their initial Reception & Placement period as needed to promote self-sufficiency.

This position will work out of our Cincinnati MidPointe office location (7162 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237) normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30-pm, and reports to the Case Management Supervisor, Refugee Resettlement Services.

Job Responsibilities:

Complete intake and assessments on clients assigned to case load within required time frames set forth in Refugee Support Services protocol.
Develop family centered self-sufficiency plans for clients on assigned case load. Assist clients in achieving the targets identified in the plan by working with them to eliminate barriers.
Develop individual employment plans for adult members of assigned case load. Assist clients in achieving the targets identified in the plan by working with them to eliminate barriers.
Connect clients to public benefits and Agency services, including Medicaid, Food Stamps, Housing, ESL and Employment services, and ensure an understanding of how to access them after case management services end.
Connect clients to community resources to help address needs and benefit their daily living (i.e. food pantries, thrift stores, faith communities)
Meet with walk-in clients during designated hours to assess service needs, enroll in program services and provide community referrals.
Ensure case files, both paper and electronic, are kept up to date with the required documentation as set forth in grant and program guidelines.
Complete case notes for all client interactions and ensure information is entered into the program database and the State database systems in a timely manner per documentation policy procedures.
Maintain communication and cultural understanding with clients, between clients and partners, the Agency, and the community.
Provide case management services to secondary migrants, asylees, parolees and refugees to reduce barriers to employment and promote self-sufficiency.
Collaborate with Refugee Resettlement Services staff as needed to ensure that clients are receiving the services they need to achieve their goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor degree in social services or related field or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of cultures, partners and groups; excellent communication skills, organizational and facilitation abilities.
Flexibility and adaptability to work with varying client needs and clients from other cultures
Ability to work well in team environment
English required, foreign language skills a plus.
Proficient in computer-based client database systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets CCSWOH current carrier guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working in refugee resettlement or with refugee/immigrant populations
Proficiency in a foreign language native to refugee populations, such as Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, Tigrinya

Work Environment:

Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues

St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) Stores, Inc., which has retail sales exceeding $13 million and over 300 employees, is seeking a Manager of Stores Accounting to support its operations.

St. Vincent de Paul Stores, a nonprofit organization consisting of eight thrift stores and donation centers, provides low-cost and free clothing, household items and furniture to low-income individuals and families. Primary Responsibilities

Perform monthly closing activities, including preparation of journal entries, bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports
Reconcile daily cash and credit card deposits for each store to daily sales reports
Process accounts payable, including sales tax filings, annual 1099 filings, and credit card administration
Serve as backup for payroll processing with third-party service provider
Prepare bank deposits as needed
Maintain petty cash
Prepare required schedules and documentation for annual audit and assist with the preparation and compilation of data necessary to complete annual informational tax returns
Prepare annual budgets
Prepare national annual reporting
Maintain and improve appropriate accounting controls

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
3-5 years accounting experience, not-for profit experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and general accounting systems
Financial reporting experience including complete financial statements and all aspects of general ledger accounting; experience with accounts payable processing; payroll processing experience desired
Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and follow up skills; detail oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
