administrative and clinical supervision to 3 program case managers, and Social Work Student Interns. Additionally, the Case Management Supervisor maintains a small caseload of case management clients enrolled in the Preferred Communities program.  This position is responsible for the management, implementation, and quality assurance of trauma-informed, family-centered case management services, ensuring compliance with program requirements/guidelines.

This position will work out of our Cincinnati MidPointe office location (7162 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237) normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30-pm, and reports to the Director of Refugee Resettlement Services. This is a salary exempt role.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Promote teamwork; coordinate the workload of case managers and delegate responsibilities; determine work priorities and ensure adequate staff coverage; communicate regularly with Refugee Resettlement Services Director
• Work with staff, volunteers, and key stakeholders in the community to ensure clients receive services in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensure program goals are met and reported according to contractual agreements.
• Assume responsibility for the accuracy, substance, and timeliness of program reports, schedules and other relevant work assignments.
• Maintain a caseload of 1-5 Preferred Communities intensive case management cases as needed.
• Track program indicators for Preferred Communities and complete program reports including Preferred Communities Data Supplement Excel Workbook and USCCB Diocesan Narrative Quarterly Report.
• Ensure successful collaboration with external partners; conduct outreach to community service providers to enhance capacity to support vulnerable refugee populations.
• Oversee Resource Specialist and Acclimation Program services to ORR-eligible clients who are within 30 days to 2 years post-arrival.
• Recruit social work student interns to assist with case management services and serve as their Field Instructor.
• Ensure RSS State webtool is updated weekly and documentation is reported per program requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews of client case files to ensure quality in service provision and fulfillment of documentation requirements. Act as lead in Continuous Quality Improvement chart review audits for Preferred Communities program and Refugee Support Services case management services.
• Resolve problems and mediate conflicts encountered during daily operations, determine appropriate solutions, and promote teamwork.
• Provide annual performance reviews of direct reports as well as training, development and performance feedback.
• Coordinate new staff training upon hire and conduct ongoing training as needed to ensure high quality service provision in line with agency and funder guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor degree in social work and five years’ experience providing case management services with supervisory experience
• State of Ohio LSW
• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of cultures, partners and groups; excellent communication skills, organizational and facilitation abilities; flexibility and adaptability to work with varying client needs and clients from other cultures
• Must be accurate, detail oriented and organized, and have good time management skills
• Ability to work well in team environment
• English required, foreign language skills a plus.
• Proficient in computer-based client database systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license

 Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Master degree in social work
• Experience working in refugee resettlement or with refugee/immigrant populations
• Proficiency in a foreign language native to refugee populations, such as Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, Tigrinya

Job Responsibilities:  

• Provide case management services in accordance to the Preferred Communities Program Plan, including:
• Complete initial assessment and submit to USCCB through MRIS online system within 7 days of client enrollment
• Complete interim assessment every 90 days and submit to USCCB through MRIS online system by the 104^th day
• Complete closing assessment and submit to USCCB through MRIS online system within 14 days of case closure date
• Record external referrals in agency client database system
• Develop self-sufficiency service plans in conjunction with client
• Meet with clients on caseload at least once every 30 days (but more often as appropriate for clients with exceptional needs) for at least 6-12 months or until self-sufficiency is reached
• Maintain caseload of 15-30 clients.
• Connect clients to community resources to help address needs and benefit their daily living (i.e. food pantries, thrift stores, faith communities)
• Ensure case files, both paper and electronic, are kept up to date with the required documentation as set forth in the Cooperative Agreement and program guidelines.
• Complete case notes for all client interactions and ensure information is entered into the program database in a timely manner per documentation policy procedures.
• Maintain communication and cultural understanding with clients, between clients and partners, the Agency, and the community.
• Work collaboratively with student interns and volunteers.
• Assist with preparation of program reports.
• Collaborate with Refugee Resettlement Services staff as needed to ensure that clients are receiving the services they need to achieve their goals.

• Works with targeted businesses and industry to develop potential worksites and employment opportunities for clients. Negotiates work site training agreements or special accommodations.
• Conducts direct job placement and interviews in coordination with clients and employers.
• Monitors and tracks success following job placement with both refugees and employers in accordance with federal guidelines and serves as a resource to assist with post-placement transition.
• Complete intake and assessments on clients assigned to case load within required time frames.
• Develop family centered self-sufficiency plans for clients on assigned case load. Assist clients in achieving the targets identified in the plan by working with them to eliminate barriers.
• Develop individual employment plans for adult members of assigned case load that take into account client’s work history, language skills, residence, family status, job market and more.
• Ensures case files, both paper and electronic, are kept organized and up to date with the required documentation, documenting the entire client employment process; contributes to time sensitive reports and statistics in accordance with agency guidelines and funding requirements on all services provided.
• Completes case notes for all client interactions and ensures information is entered into the program database and the State database systems in a timely manner per documentation policy procedures.
• Serves as primary contact person for employers and maintains database of current and potential business partners.
• Contributes information and support for the creation of job training classes and community partnerships that matches local employer needs and promotes job placement for clients with limited English proficiency.
• Updates the RSS state webtool weekly for RSS eligible clients.
• Organizes, orientates, and utilizes volunteers, mentors and outside presenters as appropriate and necessary.
• Assists as needed with barrier removal and client preparation for employment to enhance their job placement potential and employment retention, including transportation training to employment placement.
• Assists employers in explaining employment benefits to clients and assists clients in notifying Job and Family Service of changes in employment.
• Collaborates with Refugee Resettlement Services staff as needed to ensure that clients are receiving the services they need to achieve their goals.
• Attends all appropriate meetings.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, marketing, community relations, business or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Must have excellent public speaking and record keeping skills.
• Ability to work with multicultural caseload and ethnically diverse staff and serve as strong advocate for refugees.
• Ability to work well in team environment and provide direct client services as needed.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility and patience is a must.
• Prior experience with job development, job counseling/training and/or social services provisions.
