Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology is looking for a maintenance person who will be responsible for the  repair and maintenance the building and grounds in and around the Seminary.  This includes painting and wall repair, plumbing, light electrical, carpentry, general HVAC, grounds maintenance including mowing grass, planting and removing trees, bushes and flowers.  Will assist in the set up for events and meetings.  During the winter months, snow removal will be required. Must have basic mechanical, electrical,  plumbing and carpentry skills and have good interpersonal communication skills. Welding, braising and soldering ability is a plus.  Must be able to lift 40 pounds.  This is a full time position with benefits.  Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Mount St. Mary’s School of Theology is seeking a full-time Director of Recruitment and Admissions who will report to the Academic Dean in consultation with the Dean of the School of Theology.

Duties

  • Direct all recruiting and admissions efforts conducted for MTSM’s School of Theology.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Specialist to develop content, marketing materials, and outreach plans for all School of Theology certificate and degree programs.
  • Utilize the customer relationship management (CRM) aspects of the admissions database, including maintaining relationships with all prospects, inquiries, and applicants.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with diocesan offices in the surrounding region, parishes, local nonprofits, and other key constituencies to drive recruitment.
  • Develop, implement, and assess strategies to improve retention and graduation rates across all School of Theology programs.
  • Track and report on retention by degree program.
  • Track individual student persistence and advocate for their continuing progress.

Necessary Skills & Experience 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, admissions, enrollment, or allied fields.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, communications, or social sciences, etc.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
  • Strong technical facility with computer software, including databases and Microsoft Office.

St. Gertrude Church is hiring a full-time director of youth formation. The director must be passionate, gifted, and experienced in the area of youth evangelization and catechesis, and will serve as an integral part of the Evangelization Team. The director of youth formation will be responsible for the formation of 4th-12th graders and will, with the help of core teams of volunteers, develop and execute a number of formation opportunities that are child-centered and many that are family-based. The formation opportunities include: Family Faith, Confirmation formation, and youth ministry. The director will also serve various campus ministry roles within St. Gertrude School, and will work closely with the director of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd on several initiatives. The candidate must be well-organized and a competent public speaker. Skills in the area of content and curriculum development are a plus.

Requirements: at least 3 years of ministry experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in theology, catechetics, or a related field

St. Gertrude Church and School is hiring a full-time communications coordinator. The coordinator must have a demonstrable desire to evangelize through beauty and the written word, and serve as an integral part of the Evangelization Team. The communications coordinator will be responsible for helping to shape St. Gertrude’s communication strategy across multiple platforms including print, social media, website, email, and video.

Specifically, the coordinator will implement St. Gertrude brand and style guidelines across all official church and school communications; serve as the parish bulletin editor; design, compose, and edit both print and electronic promotional materials; manage our websites; grow our social media presence (which includes Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube); assist with design and layout of catechetical materials produced in-house; schedule and manage livestream Masses; and serve as a general editor of content produced by the Evangelization Team. The coordinator must be proficient in writing and editing, have experience with social media, and possess basic graphic design skills. Photography and videography skills are a plus.

Status: full-time, with option to work a portion of the hours remotely.

St. Clement Catholic Parish – in the Village of St. Bernard (Cincinnati), Ohio, is seeking a (part-time?) Director of Liturgical Music.  This position serves the Parish’s approximately 800 families in an urban area surrounded by the City of Cincinnati.  This position serves the parish community as principal musician, organist/keyboardist and choir director according to the highest professional standards of this profession.  He/She aims to help the worshipping community to pray by supporting liturgies with inspirational and quality music.  He/She must have a good knowledge of quality repertoire available for liturgical music programs for adult choir, organ, and congregation.

Skills, Knowledges, and Abilities

  • Provides service by playing for parish English-speaking liturgical celebrations, including weddings and funerals, and special events. Current Masses are scheduled at Saturday Vigil Mass 4:00 pm, Sunday Mass 9:30 am, and during the school year Children’s Wednesday Mass 7:45 am.

Holy Days Masses include:  January 1 Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God; Ash Wednesday; Easter Triduum; August 15 Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary; November 1 Solemnity of All Saints; December 8 Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception; December 25 Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ; Confirmation Mass; Advent Penance Service; Lenten Penance Service.

  • Trains, directs, and supervises choirs, instrumental ensembles and cantor programs.
  • Prepares worshipping assembly for liturgies through rehearsals prior to liturgies.
  • Provides for liturgical updating and education of the parish.
  • Introduces new music and encourages congregational participation.

  • Cooperates with the liturgical music projects of the Deanery and or Archdiocese when feasible.

Position Specifications/Requirements

  • Must have a high degree of proficiency as an organist as attested to by formal credentials and/or performance audition.
  • Must have skill as an effective choral conductor as demonstrated by formal credentials and/or a choral audition (rehearsal).
  • Must have a knowledge and appreciation of the Church’s liturgical tradition as well as current liturgical practice.
  • Responsible for the preparation and administration of the annual liturgical music budget, including purchase of music, payment of additional musical personnel, copyright fees and permissions, and worship aid programs.
  • The qualifying degrees or credentials for professional status for Parish Director of Liturgical Music can be met in a variety of ways such as degree from an accredited music college or program, and/or experience and demonstrated ability.
  • The applicant should have experience in preparing and accompanying Catholic Liturgical music.

The Director of Pastoral Ministries will be responsible for managing our parish ministries to enhance parishioner engagement.  This individual will coordinate, support, empower and direct when necessary, the work of the ministerial activities of the parish. This includes but is not limited to our Sacramental Ministries (Baptism, Marriage and Bereavement), Liturgical Ministries and Social Outreach.   This is a new position and will require experience with program development.

Must be a Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree in pastoral ministry/theology is preferred.  Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish.  Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable networking and building relationships with volunteers. Strong technology skills, experience with various social media and software platforms is key.
