The Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains is seeking a Parish Administrator/Business Operations Manager (currently 30 hours per week).
The Parish Administrator/Business Operations Manager serves as a staff resource in support of the pastor, fulfilling parish administrative needs regarding the financial and personnel responsibilities of the parish, and contributing through this work to the advancement of the Gospel within the parish. This person is responsible for the general operations of the Church, Parish Staff, finances, facilities/property management, benefit administration, Human Resources liaison and communication.
Qualifications:
- Active member of a Roman Catholic parish is preferred
- Knowledge of how the parish operates and be able to quickly grasp how the parish office functions
- Knowledge of archdiocesan policies
- Good record-keeping skills
- Ability to supervise and manage
- Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people
- Ability to problem solve with limited direction – able to influence decisions, anticipate difficulties and with the Parish Staff and Parishioners, identify, evaluate and implement resolutions with long and short term benefits.
- College degree and/or five to ten (5-10) years business experience preferred
- Knowledge of financial, personnel and physical resources management preferred
- Computer skills and knowledge of accounting required
