This month’s WORD OF LIFE features resources for National Adoption Awareness Month, National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, and the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King.  There are weekly intercessions for life, bulletin quotes and suggested downloads for each week. As always, there is also a SPANISH version available

Understanding Church teaching in regards to death and dying helps us to approach the final stage of mortal life with confidence that it too is a response to grace. In addition to the resources provided in this month’s WORD OF LIFE mentioned above, check out our resources on our END OF LIFE page, including information on extraordinary vs. ordinary care, artificial hydration, organ donation and links to acceptable forms for advanced directives. Also, contact us if you would like someone from our office to come to your parish family give a talk on Catholic teaching on end-of-life medical care at [email protected].

3 | Nominate for the Respect Life Award! 

Each year, the Respect Life Award honors someone in the Archdiocese who demonstrates how we all must spread the Gospel of Life. Do you know someone who you would like to see win our Archdiocesan Respect Life Award? Our most deserving individuals cannot win if they are not nominated!  Submissions are due Friday, November 14th, 2025. The award will be given out by Archbishop Casey at the Respect Life Mass at 10AM on January 18th, 2026. Click HERE to see requirements and nominate someone who is deserving of this award!

4 | March Training Save the Date, March 7 and 14

The Office for Respect Life Ministries and the Center for New Evangelization are teaming up for a day-long training just for Respect Life Ministry leaders. We will offer various breakout sessions on things like running a Walking with Moms in Need group in your family, pro-life apologetics, or working with pastors and recruiting more volunteers. Details and locations are still being worked out but mark your calendars for Saturday March 7 in Cincinnati and Saturday March 14 in Dayton.
